PRE APPLICATION ADVISE

As they say, ‘Well begun is half done’, VRPA’s expert counsellors help students take the first step right. The first level counselling involves giving a career road map, explaining the requirements of admissions, and informing the aspirants on steps to build a good profile.
Before you are ready to apply, we prepare in advance by:

  • Deciding you focus country
  • Selecting the right standardized tests and developing a timeline to take them

UNIVERSITY SELECTION

There are thousands of universities in the USA, Canada or UK. While there is a plethora of information online about each of these, there is no way to verify whether the information is up-to-date and factual.

At VRPA, we have developed a personalized approach. We will guide you to shortlist universities as per your personal and professional goals. We take into consideration your background, your experience, your requirements such as geography, scholarship etc.

Points that we keep in mind while shortlisting:

  • Your preferences of program, geography, cost.
  • Prepare a list of 12-15 universities in “ambitious”, “target” and “safety” categories
  • Provide an Excel worksheet with details such as GRE/ TOEFL/IELTS requirements, application deadlines etc.

APPLICATION PROCESS

We walk our students through the complete application process, including how to fill out application forms as well as prepare and attach the relevant required documents such as:

  • Statement of Purpose – The SOP is one of the most critical parts of the application. In a concisely written statement, we describe your past and present work as it relates to your intended field of study, your educational objectives, and your career goals. We also suggest you include your intellectual and professional reasons for choosing your field of study and why your studies/research can best be done at the Graduate School.
  • Personal History Statement (Diversity Statement) – The Personal History Statement is optional and gives information on your background. You may discuss educational, familial, cultural, socioeconomic, or personal experiences or challenges; gender identity; community services, outreach services, first-generation college status or other matters relevant to your decision to pursue graduate education.
  • Letter of Recommendations – Beyond your academic and professional record, a recommendation is a strong vote of confidence from your employer or professors that you are capable of making an impact. It is necessary to pick the right recommenders who are able to speak to your achievements and give them the appropriate guidance so they paint the best, most accurate picture of you.
  • Resume – The resume is an essential document for the application process. It gives colleges a quick and precise glance at your academic and professional record and conveys the impact you have been able to make so far. At VRPA, we guide you to create the most effective resume and help you clearly communicate your experience in an easy to read format.

VISA FINANCE AND MOCK INTERVIEWS

Securing admission to a good university is only the first part of making your study abroad dreams come true. Getting a student VISA is considered to be the final step for a student to start his education abroad.

At VRPA, we will guide you with the process of submitting the proof of sufficient funds in the form of Bank Certificate, Loan Approvals etc.

Our Visa experts help students prepare for the all-important Visa interview through personalised mock interviews. Our training teaches students the right content and delivery method of a successful Visa interview.
